DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>POSTPONED due to unsettled weather.</strong></p><p>In Europe, cl
 imbing on wire ropes and ladders over, around and up rock faces is very pop
 ular. It is called Via Ferrata.(by wire??)</p><p>Takaka Hill is now home to
  NZ's second Via Ferrata (the first is a private one near Wanaka) Stage 1 o
 pened late last year and is free to access.... but you need to hire safety 
 gear. (<strong>$8/person</strong>&nbsp;from Ngarua Caves)</p><p>Stage 2 is 
 under construction and will be a longer, more thrilling experience. But Sta
 ge 1 is a good test of your confidence for climbing around cliff faces.</p>
 <p>There is a small "test climb" for people to check their confidence. If i
 t's not for you, the Walkway offers an alternative.</p><p>Let's check it ou
