DESCRIPTION:4 day Kahurangi adventure.\nWangapeka - 4 days, 3 nights. If we get suffici
 ent numbers registered we could consider a cross-over trip.\nDay 1.\nArrang
 e family and friends to drop us at Rolling River Jtn. Walk to Stone Hut (10
  bunks) 6 hrs. Travel is along the Wangapeka river, crossing it twice via b
 ridges. There wil be some unbridged side streams. Elevation gain 350M.\nDay
  2 \nAn early start as this is our biggest day. Walk to Taipo Hut 16 bunks 
 19KM 7.5Hrs Climb to Wangapeka Saddle (1009M) then descend along the Karame
 a river to Helicopter Flat. It is preferable to cross the the Karamea river
  prior to Helicopter flat to avoid a longer slower route but avoids crossin
 g the river. Lunch at Helicopter Flat (4 hrs) then follows the Karamea rive
 r, sidles through bush and drops down to Taipo footbridge. The route climbs
  steadily beside the Taipo River and after several KM reaches Taipo Hut (3.
 5hrs from Helicopter Flat). \nDay 3\nWalk to Manunui Hut  (10 bunks) 7hrs 1
 1.2KM. Climb to Little Wanganui Saddle (1087M), then drop steeply to the Li
 ttle Wanganui River. Cross a swing bridge and sidle around a gorge thrn dow
 n to the Wanganui River. Some side rivers need to be crossed and may not be
  possible in heavy rain. There are several shelters if this is not possible
  Little Wanganui Gorge Shelter 2 bunks, and Stag Flat shelter 2 bunks\nDay 
 4. Walk out along river flats to Little Wanganui trail carpark where and dr
 ive back to Nelson.\n Need to arrange transport back from the West Coast - 
 or if there are sufficient numbers then a cross over could be done.\nTrek E
 xpress would pick us up from the trail head on the Little Wanganui and retu
 rn us to Nelson for $163 per person. If we use cars the transport cost woul
