This trip is being run in conjuction with FMC's Love Our Huts campaign. I have signed up to 'show some love' to Salisbury Lodge. This means we will need to give it a spring clean, and check various things (FMC will give us a list). We will spend some time doing this on the shorter day of our trip. Please be prepared to be involved :-) The plan is to do the Tablelands Circuit. https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/nelson-tasman/places/kahurangi-national-park/things-to-do/tracks/tableland-circuit/ We will start and finish at Flora Saddle Carpark. Day 1: Head up past Mt Arthur Hut and over Gordon's Pyramid then down to Salisbury Lodge for the night (5-6 hours). Possibility of a side-trip up Mt Arthur if people are keen and the weather plays the game. Day 2: Out via the Rock Shelters and Flora Hut (4 hours). This is the shorter day, and we will first spend some time doing our hut cleaning and auditing duties. If the weather looks more favourable on Sunday we will swap the order, to have the better weather day for the Gordon's Pyramid section. In that case, the hut duties will be on Saturday afternoon. |

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
