This relatively easy day walk is one of the most scenic day walks within a short drive of Nelson.
A great loop track with outstanding views o f the lake below, virtually the entire way.
It's a well maintai ned track, though steep in parts and with some lose gravel and a couple of small morraines to cross.

It would appear I normally walk this in the opposite direction to most; up paddy's track and down pin chgut.
This means you get views all the way as you climb up and plent y of photo-ops to catch the breath for the less fit.
But I'll decide on the direction closer to the time when I know the weather and the group's abilities.
