Day trip from Maungatapu Road End (near Pelorus Bridge) to Captains Cree k hut for lunch, then return the same way. 7-8 hours return. Op tion for a swim at Emerald Pool on the way there and/or back. This is a tramping grade track which sidles along the Pelorus River through attrac tive native bush.
