DESCRIPTION:<p>The access road off orth BankRoad was damaged during the recent flooding
 . So I will postpone this till later (Details to Come)</p><p>In its place I
  will do Kill Devil Track just over the Takak Hill. It is a longer drive bu
 t simlar level - medium. We may get to Riordans Hut if we can.</p><p></p><p

 : none;">We have walked the Canvastown end of the Wakamarina several times 
 as far as Devils Creek Hut. This tramp is an end to end walkthru that will 
 require two cars and minimum of 8 - 10 people to make the travelling worthw
 hile. This an old goldminers trail and is rated&nbsp; 'medium' for difficul
 ty. It is a 'well beaten' trail from my reading!&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p style="

 ;">It's 1.5 hours drive to Butchers Flat at the northern end (85km) &amp; 2
  hours to Kiwi Road off Onamalutu Road off Northbank Road at the southern e
 nd (130 km). Hopefully these are conservatove driving times!</p><p style="b

 It is then 2 hours to Devils Creek Hut for the SOBO group; another 2.5 to 3
  hours to Fosters Clearing, including a climb of 800 meters; then 2 hours t
 o the carpark.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; In total a 6.5 to 7 hour t
 ramp. So for SOBO,&nbsp;<span style="box-sizing: content-box; margin: 0px; 
 padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: underline;">walking from 10 am</span>&n
 bsp;at the latest means finishing by&nbsp;<strong style="box-sizing: conten
 t-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">5 pm</strong>&nbsp;(before dark) Then th
 e 2 hour drive back to Nelson- arrive&nbsp;<strong style="box-sizing: conte
 nt-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">7pm -</strong>&nbsp;hence the Sat plan 
 rather than Sunday.</p><p style="box-sizing: content-box; margin: 5px 0px;

 rt walking at 10.30 am (at the latest) - 2 hrs and quite a steep steady cli
 mb to Fosters Clearing and the Saddle; downhill to Devils Creek Hut so hope
 fully 2.5 hours and another 2 hours walk out to the carpark at Butchers Fla
 t. Out by 5.30 at the latest. Back to Nelson by 7pm?&nbsp;</p><p style="box

 cause of the shorter daylight hours and the cool weather; the plan is not t
 o dilly-dally too much. Fosters Hut is near Fosters Clearing and the saddle
 - time for a quick visit only. WEwill try to walk to a timetable to avoid a
