Day trip from Maungatapu Road End (near Pelorus Bridge) to Captains Creek hut for lunch, then return the same way. 7-8 hours return. Option for a swim at Emerald Pool on the way there and/or back. This is a tramping grade track which sidles along the Pelorus River through attractive native bush. |

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
