This is the plan:
21) John Reid Hut from Rolling River Jctn up Chummies track, 5-6 hrs. 940m up. 6 bunks. Unbridged river crossing at the start!
22) follow the ridge, sidetrip up Mt Patriach, then on to Kiwi Saddle Hut, up to 8 hrs. 6 bunks, $5
23) Cross Luna Tops, possibly up Mt Luna, then down to Stone Hut for the night, 6ish hrs, depending on route finding. 10 bunks, $5
24) follow the Wangapeka Track out to Rolling jctn, 5-6 hrs, and drive home
I have not done this tramp. Happy about assistance in sharing navigation.
Bring sleeping mats and/or tents, as the huts are small and might be full.

It is IMPORTANT that "You contact the Trip Leader before registering" for a trip. Especially if you are new to the club or a non-club member (Visitor). The Leader will need to be confident that you have the experience, fitness and the correct gear to complete the trip successfully. :-)
